The essays of J.W. Young have been anthologized by Random House, Dzanc Books, and Pinchback Press. Aside from attempting to slant the universe in her direction--or at least get it into the cross-hairs--she teaches writing to college students, is a know-it-all big sister and aunt, overbearing mother, and poorly-kept-house wife. Much of her sustenance these days comes from her Mexican neighbor, who cooks large pots of beans on a weekly basis.
